DIABETES charity Diabetes UK is warning Hastings people with the condition that they could go blind if they do not attend their local Diabetic Retinal Screening Programme. (30/11/2007 16:51:30)
A DIABETES charity is warning that up to 16,000 local people with diabetes could go blind needlessly because Wiltshire Primary Care Trust's (PCT) retinal screening service does not meet the required national standards.

I thought that this was awesome when I first read it...
However, the fund-raising campaign still fell far short of the $17 million the archdiocese raised before the scandal erupted in early 2002. Donations plummeted to about $8. 8 million that year.

But she said they may also be focused on securing larger donations from major donors rather than on getting a broad base of alumni in the habit of giving, even small amounts. If that's the case, the strategy could negatively affect future fund-raising.
